The Long Pairing
Podz were last stored correctly for eleven seconds. Then the left bud detected a faint bass line beyond the charging case and pulled the right one into orbit. They now circle the observatory’s silent receiver, trading one song between them and declining every available ear. The case remains open below. Neither has acknowledged its battery percentage.
